With another atmospheric river storm expected to move into our area on January 4th, Solano County is anticipating being under a Flood Watch Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
For residents of the Cordelia Fire Protection District, sandbags and sand are being made available at Suisun Valley Road and Rockville Road, near the Ice House.
There is also sand available at the City of Fairfield yard at Pittman and Cordelia Road. Cordelia Fire District has placed some empty bags at the yard, but quantity is very limited, so residents may need to bring their own bags.
These sandbag stations are self-serve, and residents will need to fill their own bags. Please be sure to bring your own shovel to fill bags. Filling bags is much easier with two or more people so bring a helper as well.
